What’s the easiest way to move 5 cubic yards of dirt through the woods?

I have a secluded area that needs a lot of dirt moved—about 5 cubic yards. It's heavily forested and involves a mile hike through the bushes to get there. I'm not the sturdiest hiker, so I can't handle anything too heavy. Any suggestions for tools or methods that can help me with this?

Moving that much dirt sounds tough! If you can access a mini skid loader, that might be your best bet. You could clear a path and use it to transport the dirt. Just make sure you check for any restrictions in your area about using machinery in the forest.

Honestly, the easiest way might be to gather a couple of friends to help you carry it. You could fill bags with dirt, load them onto a hunting cart, and haul them through the woods. It'll be a bit of a workout, but it's definitely more manageable with buddies.

If hiking isn’t your strength, maybe consider hiring someone to do the transporting for you. There are services that could take care of moving dirt, which saves you the hassle and effort.
