I managed to kill an African violet my boyfriend gifted me in less than a week! I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience. How fast have you killed a plant?

I think overwatering is a common culprit! I've done that way too many times. Just remember, it’s all about finding that balance!
So, it doesn’t exactly count, but one time my neighbor mistook my plant spray for water and sprayed it. It died overnight! Definitely not my fault, though! ?
I hear you! I only watered it once when it was bone dry, but somehow it still didn’t survive.
