Hey everyone! I'm eager to understand why my coleus plant, which I grew from seed, is doing so incredibly well! At 22, I've usually struggled to keep plants alive, but I've had this one thriving since last year thanks to some seedlings my grandma gave me. Since the weather got cold, I moved it from a sunny kitchen window to under a stove light. Despite this shift, it just keeps growing! I even had to pinch off a couple of growths because it was trying to go to seed. It's been under the stove light for only 2–4 months and I'm amazed! Oh, and my water has high iron content because of hard water – could that be giving my plant extra strength? I've heard coleus can be tricky to grow. What do you think?

I absolutely love coleus too! Their colors are just stunning. It seems like you’re doing everything right – just remember to pinch them back so they don’t go to seed too quickly!
Coleus actually grows really fast, and it sounds like you've got a green thumb! If you ever cut a stem and put it in water, it'll root in about a week. Keep doing what you're doing!
I'm just happy it's going well! Just trying to stay humble, haha.
The variations in coleus plants are gorgeous! It's great you're enjoying the process and right on track with everything you're doing. Those iron levels in your water might be helping more than you think!

Exactly! I’m just watering when I remember. It's a bit nerve-wracking not being too confident!
