What’s Up with the 14.4mm Size on the M12 Insider?

Hey folks! I'm thinking about getting the M12 Insider pass-through ratchet, and I'm a bit confused about its size. The tool uses a "14.4 mm hex" reception, which I've never seen before. The only compatible sockets I can find are made by Milwaukee themselves. Is this size unique to them, or am I just missing some compatibility with other standard sizes? Any insights would be super helpful!

So, the 14.4mm size is actually proprietary to Milwaukee. That means the Insider ratchet works exclusively with their own sockets. They do offer adapters if you want to use standard square drive sockets, but other brands won't fit the ratchet. I suspect they might have based the size on an imperial measurement, maybe around 9/16 inches.

Yeah, it seems like Milwaukee wanted to keep this tool in its own lane. Honestly, it doesn't bother me much since the socket rail set is around $70, and it usually comes with a metric set too. Not the end of the world!
