What’s Up with the Odd Pieces Around My New Bathfitters Tub?

I just had Bathfitters installed in my second bathroom, but there's something that's really bothering me. There are these strange little pieces along the tub, and I can't figure out their purpose. Isn't there a cleaner way to do this? Here's a picture for reference: https://imgur.com/a/wTedyng

It’s kind of a bummer, but the reason you’re seeing those odd pieces is likely that Bathfitters chose to use end cut pieces instead of a full sheet. It probably saves them some money, which helps cover those endless commercials they run. Definitely could have been done in a more seamless way though!

I see what you mean—those little pieces definitely disrupt the flow. I think a good caulk job might have been sufficient for a cleaner look. It’s too bad they didn’t go that route!

Exactly! Just a little caulk could have made it look a lot smoother.

Yeah, the caulking around those pieces can look pretty messy. It’s not the best finish, but it might be part of how Bathfitters does their installations. A bit more attention to detail would’ve gone a long way!
