I'm curious if anyone has a gardening mishap or quick fix that unexpectedly turned into a cherished part of their garden. I've got this mossy pebble supporting a brick that I just can't help but feel attached to after two years. Anyone else have some fun stories to share about their 'bodge jobs' that became beloved features?

Honestly, most of my garden started as a cobbled-together project! I even made a 'decking' area out of pallets. It's quirky but I really love how it adds character to the space.
Everything in my garden has a bit of a bodge job feel to it! We moved into a new build five years ago and started with basic one-meter borders. Fast forward two years, our garden is so much better after we widened the borders and added a block path. It transformed the space completely! Check out how lush it is now!
Wow, that’s an impressive difference! Such a great example of how things can evolve!
I cut up a bunch of lawn to make vegetable plots and piled the leftover turf in one corner, thinking it would break down and create rich soil. Instead, I ended up with this massive mound that looks like a mini hill! I jokingly told my nephew it was a burial mound for people who annoyed me, and now he’s always on his best behavior around it! It’s become quite the feature in my garden.
That's hilarious! Kids really believe everything! I guess you can say your mound holds a lot of 'history' now! ?
I've got breeze blocks holding up my garden corners, and they've been there forever. They're not exactly fancy, but they've done the job well!

I love that transformation! Here’s what it looked like before we made the changes — a total makeover!
