What’s Your Experience with the M12 Circular Saw?

Hey everyone! I'm curious about what tasks you all use the M12 circular saw for. I already have the larger M18 version, but it's pretty bulky for some jobs, so I'm thinking about picking up the M12. I also have the multi-tool and cut-off tool, but how well does the M12 perform for various tasks?

I've been really impressed with the M12 circular saw! As a DIY enthusiast, I honestly haven't picked up my old 7 1/4 saw since I got this one about a year ago. It cuts through 2x lumber like butter—I've worked with everything from 2x4s to 2x12s without a hitch. The included Milwaukee blade works fine, but I find that a Diablo blade performs even better. While it only does 90-degree cuts and can't handle angled cuts, that's been fine for me. I've also used it on pressure-treated 4x4s and it does a great job!

It's super handy for cutting sheets like plywood and OSB too. We actually used it for all the cuts on my brother’s garage siding with those big 4x8 sheets. It's light and compact enough to handle one-handed cuts too!

I’m a DIYer too! I did a deck recently and have a shed to build this fall, so my big saw gets some work. But I’m really eyeing the M12 for trimming around my 20 windows soon.

Which Diablo blade do you recommend using with it?

The M12 is great for quick framing, especially if you’re working with 2x4s. Just keep in mind that it might bog down with bigger cuts, like the newer fuel versions do. It's perfect for rough framing and ripping OSB though!

I actually bought the M12 to cut some 1x4s for capping my fence, and it worked perfectly!
