What’s Your Favorite Way to Organize Woodworking Projects?

Hey everyone! I'm diving deeper into woodworking, and I've noticed I struggle a bit with keeping my projects organized. Right now, I've got random scraps of paper filled with measurements and notes, a few things jotted down on my phone, and it seems like I often forget what materials I've already purchased or the details of what I wanted to do when I finally make it out to the garage. I'm really curious how you guys manage this! Do you use a notebook, a spreadsheet, an app, or just wing it? Also, if there were a dedicated 'woodworking project log,' what sections or pages do you think would be most helpful? Is there anything you wish you had written down after finishing a project? I recently picked up a nice leather journal, and I plan to dedicate sections for project ideas and sketches since I tend to freestyle when I build. I'd love to hear how others stay organized—or if you don't at all! Thanks!

I handle multiple projects at once by using clipboards. Each clipboard has the info and notes for a different project so I can grab whichever one I need easily. I just hang them up in my office area. This helps keep everything organized and accessible!

This is a solid idea! I have a whiteboard that I’m considering using in a similar way. Do you save the info once you finish a project?
