What’s Your Go-To Marking Knife?

I've been trying out a couple of Narex marking knives, one with a .125" blade and another with a thinner .055" blade. The thicker knife doesn't hold its edge for too long, while the thinner one bends too easily when I use it. I'm curious about what other people prefer. What brand and blade thickness are you using?

I've had a Hock marking knife for years now and it's been fantastic. Definitely my favorite, super reliable and holds an edge nicely.

I actually use an older detail carving knife, and it works really well for my needs. It’s served me great over the years.

I usually go for a super affordable snap knife from Home Depot. It’s light, and I love that it locks open and closed. The blade is sharp along the longer side, so I can get deeper cuts without worrying about it being pointy enough to stab me. I did buy another marking knife, but it's a bit bulky for my pocket, so I'm considering making a sheath for it.

I got a complete set of kiridashis from a blacksmith I found here - left, right, and v-point. Best investment ever, but sadly they deleted their account and I can't reach out for another set! All of them are just incredible.

I’m a fan of the ones made by Matt Estlea. They’re a bit on the pricey side, but I wanted to support him since his YouTube videos taught me so much.
