When and How Do You Use Portable Solar Panels?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to hear from those of you who have experience with portable solar panels, whether it's for camping, RV trips, boating, or just in your backyard. What are the common situations where you find yourself using them? I recently got a set but haven't quite figured out the best ways to utilize them yet. Sometimes I even wonder if I should just sell them instead!

I mostly use my panels when I go camping or on road trips. They’re great for keeping devices charged, especially energy-hungry ones like a fridge or Starlink. When I'm home, I just set them up outside in the sun to help run my fridge or AC as well. Just a heads up, they do take up some space!

That sounds really useful! I didn't think of using them at home for the fridge or AC. Do you find they generate enough power for that?

I usually pull out the portable solar panel during power outages, especially to keep the fridge running. It's also a lifesaver when camping! That way, I can ensure I have power for essential things.
