I just began germinating my tomato seeds today and I'm wondering if it's too early to start my zucchini seeds indoors as well. I'm in Zone 6B and I'm unsure about the timing.

Honestly, I think it’s way too early for zucchini. Just wait a bit longer until it’s warmer. You’ll get better results!
In my experience, starting squash like zucchini indoors isn't ideal. Their roots grow really fast, plus they need a lot of light. You'll likely only get a week or two of good growth indoors without a serious setup to support them.
Zucchini typically does better when you sow them directly outside once the risk of frost is over. Starting them indoors might not be the best choice if you want healthy plants.
Last year, I started my zucchini indoors about a month before my last frost, and they turned out great! So it really depends on your local climate.
I've usually started my zucchini around February, but this year they're just sitting since I went on a trip. I start them in small pots which lets them grow strong roots before they go outside. It gives them a good head start!
