When Should I Plant Garlic, Onions, and Potatoes in Containers?

I just bought some garlic and onion bulbs, as well as red potato seeds, for container gardening this year since I don't have a full garden plot available due to my work schedule. I'm located in zone 6b and I've heard that these veggies can be planted in the fall, but they might also be okay for spring planting. Is it a good time to plant them now, or should I wait a couple of weeks? I'd really appreciate any tips on how to get these planted!

If the ground isn't frozen, you can definitely plant the garlic right now! They usually take around 9 months to grow big heads, so get them in there. If not, you might just end up with smaller ones. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! Does this timing work for the onions and potatoes too since I'm putting them in containers?
