Hey everyone! I've let my lawn go for a few years after it was newly laid about four years ago, and I just finished scarifying it for the first time. Now I'm uncertain whether I should have addressed the weeds before scarifying. I want to reseed and add topsoil, but I'm torn between removing the weeds now or reseeding first and tackling the weeds later. I also purchased some Weedol lawn care to spray the entire lawn—would that be effective, or should I consider a different method or even manual removal? Thanks in advance for any tips!

It's best to remove the weeds now before you overseed. You'll set yourself up for better results if you start with a cleaner slate!
If the weed situation is really bad, you might want to scarify again until it’s almost bare. Sometimes starting fresh can be the way to go!
Thanks for the tip! I’m not seeing many weeds right now, but I’m worried some might come back. Does scarifying actually remove the roots?
Got it! What’s the most effective way to pull them? Should I use a spray solution or just go old-school and pull them out by hand? I'm noticing around 20% of the area is weeds right now.
