I've been digging through my seed stash mainly looking for vegetables to sow right now. I stumbled upon some cornflower seeds and read that I could plant them now for next spring. My question is, will they survive over the winter if I plant them in pots inside my unheated glasshouse? Thanks for your help!

I tried sowing cornflowers in both autumn and March, and let me tell you, the ones planted in March turned out to be way sturdier. If you can, I'd recommend waiting until spring. I started mine in an outdoor unheated greenhouse, and once they were potted up, I moved them outside pretty quickly. Check out how mine turned out!
Cornflowers are pretty tough when it comes to the cold, so they should be able to survive the winter. Just make sure to bring them indoors if a blizzard comes your way! That said, I tried sowing some in the fall a while back, and they ended up being a bit leggy. The ones I planted in spring turned out much better, but even one good plant will give you a lifetime of seeds, so it's worth a shot!
Thanks for the tips! I have plenty of seeds left, so I'll definitely give it a shot and see how it goes. I just love the whole sowing process!

Thanks a lot! I've already planted a few, but I have tons of seeds still sealed up for spring. They look amazing in your picture!
