When’s the Best Time to Plant Blackberries, Raspberries, and Strawberries in NJ Zone 7a?

I'm planning to buy bare root plants from a nursery and I'm a bit confused about the best time to plant them. I've seen so many different suggestions online and I'm particularly interested in whether I can plant them in the fall. Should I be looking to plant in September or would it be better to wait until November? If November is the time, should I aim for early, mid, or late in the month? I'm new to gardening and just started my home garden this summer, so any advice would be super helpful! The plants I'm looking to get include Bristol Black Raspberries, Joan J Raspberries, Prime Ark Blackberries, and Albion and Seascape Strawberries.

I’ve always thought these berries are best planted in spring. If you plant in the fall, they might wake up too soon and not have enough time to acclimate before winter hits. If I were fall planting, I’d try to get them in the ground sooner rather than later to give them a fighting chance. Just so you know, you might want to keep red and black raspberries separated because they can cross-pollinate!

I didn’t know that about the raspberries! Great tip! So if I wanted to plant earlier in the fall, what’s a good month to aim for?
