I recently bought some dahlia tubers and I'm not sure about the best time to plant them. I thought I could just put them in the ground now, but I've read online that starting them indoors might be better. Should I wait for April to plant them, or can I plant them now and still be okay?

Starting them indoors is the way to go! If you plant them outside too early, frost can really mess them up. If you have a greenhouse, that’d be ideal. Just keep an eye on the weather and wait for the frost to pass before transferring them outside.
If you're thinking about planting them straight into the ground, I'd suggest holding off until the soil heats up a bit more. They can be really vulnerable to slugs once they start sprouting. It’s usually best to start them indoors in pots first, then move them outside when they're stronger.
Absolutely, if you do have to plant them out now, make sure to protect them from the cold and any frost. A little extra care can go a long way with dahlias!

How long do you think I should keep them indoors before moving them out?
