Hey everyone! I'm living in eastern Canada and I'm looking to plant poppies. I've struggled with them in the past and would love some tips. When's the best time to plant them here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What do you think about that timing if you’re in a snowy area where it snows until mid-April? Is there a specific window you should aim for?

I've found the best results with poppies when I direct seed them in winter. They need that cold stratification for about two weeks. You might still get them in this year, but just a heads up, it's getting a bit late since they usually bloom in early summer.
