Where Can I Buy a Thermocouple for My Patio Heater In-Store?

I have a Firesense patio heater that tipped over last year during a really windy winter. Instead of buying a new one, I decided to fix this one, but my husband isn't too enthusiastic about it. So, I watched some YouTube videos and got it mostly working, but the flame goes out when I release the gas knob after lighting the pilot. From my research, it seems like replacing the thermocouple could solve the issue. I prefer to shop in stores instead of online, but all my searches point to Lowe's or Home Depot, and they don't seem to have what I need. Can anyone suggest where I might find a thermocouple for my patio heater? Thanks!

If you can, I’d strongly suggest checking with the manufacturer directly for the thermocouple. When you're dealing with gas heaters, it’s better to be safe and get the exact part designed for your model. I know you mentioned shopping in-store, but honestly, finding parts like these can be really tricky. Maybe try contacting the company to see if there are local suppliers they recommend?

Also, you might want to check if the issue is with the tilt switch instead of the thermocouple. If it is, you can bypass it, but just be careful since your heater tipped over before. My suggestion is to ensure it's stable and maybe fill the base with sand like you did before.

I’m considering that too! I get nervous about bypassing safety features, but since I added sand, it should hold up better this time.

Have you thought about just cleaning your existing thermocouple? Sometimes, they just get dirty and a good cleaning can solve the problem without needing to replace it. Might be worth a shot before heading out to buy a new one!
