I'm looking for some Black Locust 4"x4"x36" posts for a project in central Kentucky. Does anyone have recommendations on where I can purchase them? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked with local hardwood dealers? Some might surprise you with what they actually carry. It's worth a shot!

I did find one place, but they wanted $95 for shipping, which feels outrageous unless I order a ton. Still weighing my options!

Finding Black Locust can be a real challenge! I've been hunting for it for a while now as well, and despite hearing it's common in the eastern US, I can't seem to find anyone who stocks the lumber. It’s frustrating because I know people use it for all sorts of projects!

I feel your pain! I've seen similar threads where others say it’s practically thrown out, yet it’s like trying to find a unicorn. You’d think it would be abundant given its durability.

I found a place selling it for about $8 per 4x4, but shipping from Pennsylvania is also $95. I'm thinking of getting around 15 of them to make it worth it. It would drop the cost to about $14.50 each after shipping, which isn't too bad in the end.
