Where can I find 0.125″ oak dowels in the SF Bay Area?

I'm on the hunt for some oak wood dowels, specifically those that are 0.125" (3mm) in diameter. Unfortunately, I can't make them myself since it's too thin for my skills. The length doesn't matter much to me since I only need to cut them down to about 1" pieces. If anyone has suggestions on where to buy these, especially in the SF Bay Area, that would be super helpful! I've checked the local lumber yards, but they only seem to offer larger diameters like 0.25" and up.

Honestly, that diameter is pretty small—like the size of a thick toothpick! You might have a hard time making them yourself. Have you considered just using toothpicks instead? They're easy to find! Check out this video on how they're made for some inspiration! [YouTube Link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OL7i0-yVjBU)

Have you thought about using a plug cutter? You can make your own dowels that way. Just check if they have a 1/8" size, though. It could work perfectly for you!

That's an interesting idea! I haven't come across a 1/8" plug cutter. Do you know of any brands or places that sell one?

If you're looking for that thin of a dowel, you might want to try making a quick dowel jig. It sounds tricky, but with a couple of old blades and a drill, you could pull it off. Just a suggestion!

I appreciate the tip! I think that might be a bit beyond my skills. Still looking for a pre-made jig that fits 1/8".
