I'm looking to buy a fly trap as a gift for my girlfriend. She's really into them and loves watching videos and sharing fun facts. I want to surprise her with one, but I've had a hard time finding it. I've come across some listings on Amazon claiming to sell fly trap seeds, but a lot of reviews say they're misleading and end up growing cucumbers instead. I've checked local plant shops, but no luck. I'm based in Toronto, Canada, and I would really appreciate any suggestions on where to buy a proper fly trap!

If you’re in the States, you might want to check out Lowe’s. They usually have fly traps, but it’s good to visit a few locations since the quality can vary. Since you’re in Canada, Rona might be a similar option to Lowe’s. Don’t forget to check local nurseries too—sometimes they have unique plants. Also, there are specialized carnivorous plant websites you could try if Amazon doesn't have good options.
Lowe’s is a solid choice, but I recommend checking out California Carnivores online. They have a great selection of carnivorous plants. Good luck with your search!
Have you tried garden centers or nurseries? I’m in Europe, and they’re pretty easy to find here. Any hardware store should probably have them in stock.
Definitely check out local nurseries and maybe even Facebook groups dedicated to plants. You could also ask on r/savagegarden; someone there might have extras or be willing to sell. Etsy is another good place for finding unique plants, so give that a shot!
