Where can I find affordable petunia plugs online?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy rooted petunia plugs or "starters" in bulk online. I want to get between 150 and 200 plants this year, but I'm trying to avoid paying the retail price of around $3 each, which really adds up! I've come across some wholesale websites where the cost is about $0.35 to $0.50 per plug, which sounds much more reasonable. However, many of these sites require a resale license to purchase. Does anyone know of any online place that sells to individuals? I've got some seeds started, but being a first-time grower, I'm unsure how many will actually thrive!

I know some sellers on eBay who offer petunia plugs, but they're around $3 each. If you’d like, I can share their usernames so you can check them out!

I’d love to see those usernames! I'm still interested in finding options, so just let me know!

Wow, that sounds pricey! My local greenhouse sells a tray of 6 for around CAD $1.99 to $2.99. Have you checked any local places? Sometimes they can surprise you with better deals than online!

Definitely! I've noticed that Home Depot prices near me can be like $15 for just 6 with limited color options. I'd really like to fill my big planter boxes and surrounding yard, so the more I can get, the better!

In about 3 to 5 weeks, those petunia starts will grow to decent sizes, around 4 inches in pots. Just give them a little time, and they'll really take off!

Mine are super tiny right now, still in little rockwool cubes. I'm just worried about them during transplant time. Fingers crossed they all make it!

If you're considering options, have you thought about Wave petunias or Proven Winners? They grow nicely and fill out well! I think it all depends on how you want them to look in your garden.

I like the idea of waves or cascading styles in my boxes. Or I could stuff a bunch in there for that full look, haha.
