My partner and I are renovating a 5x8 ft bathroom and want to use colored tiles to create a pixel art design, similar to the style in a reference image I found. We're specifically looking for small square mosaics, around 2 inches each. Comfort is key since it'll be on the floor, so we're open to various materials, but we prefer a matte finish. Our main concerns are finding a good selection of colors, possibly even custom options, and we need to have this completed in the next 30 days, so long lead times won't work for us. We've checked options like Tile Shop, Mod Walls, Tile Bar, Mosaic Tile, and Lowe's but none have met all our criteria. Can anyone recommend a place that sells a great variety of colored tiles, or maybe does custom batches? Or maybe I'm being too ambitious with this project?

Have you tried Floor and Decor? They usually have a decent selection and might have what you're looking for. I found tiles there that were perfect for my project!
Check out local tile suppliers instead of the big stores—they often have unique options. My friend ran a tile store and had connections with manufacturers for special orders that you won’t find in larger chains.
Consider going to a pool tile supply house! They often carry pre-made mosaics that could really fit your pixel art theme. Plus, the selection can be surprisingly good.
