Sure! The main idea is that edge failure starts at the very tip. A lot of issues we run into with woodworking tools happen right at the final edge. If you can avoid edge damage by refining the tip and using a shallower bevel, you're on the right track. Buffing the honed edge after grinding helps too, making it tougher without the need for a steep shoulder behind it. It's a less precise technique but works well if you get the hang of it!
