Hey everyone! My partner and I are diving deep into the planning of our kitchen renovation and need your help. We're aiming for that stunning deep blue shaker cabinet look like the one in the photo I've shared.
The tricky part is finding where to actually buy these cabinets. We've browsed big box stores, local showrooms, and various online RTA cabinet sites, but it's so overwhelming! Prices and quality seem all over the place.
We're hoping to find something that's solidly built (preferably plywood boxes over particleboard) and has a durable factory finish without breaking the bank. For those who have gone through a kitchen remodel, where did you find your cabinets? Any brands or suppliers you'd recommend? Also, any tips on what to prioritize or avoid would be super helpful. Thanks a ton!

Honestly, I usually hit up local suppliers for better deals, but for unique choices, I like to explore online options too. Gives you that balance of price and variety!
You should definitely take a look at the Diamond Express line at Lowe's. Their in-house designers know the line well and the Jamestown model would match your picture perfectly!
In 2018, I did a full kitchen remodel and got cherry shaker RTA cabinets from Barker Cabinets. The fit and finish were perfect, and assembly was straightforward. Just last year, I even bought drawers from them to convert some base cabinets into slide-out shelves. Highly recommend them!
For a bathroom, I went with GHI cabinets from a local Home Outlet store and I’ve been really pleased with the quality. Might be worth a look for your kitchen too!
I went through this same search last year and let me tell you, the quality can really vary depending on where you buy from. Check out Highland Cabinetry; they’re based in Arizona but ship nationwide and have some excellent RTA options. I’ve been part of their beta program and they’ve truly impressed me with their builds!
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll definitely check them out.
I got my cabinets from NationwideWholesaleCabinets.com. After a lot of research, we found a good deal, and I've had them for four years now; they're great quality!

Appreciate the insight! Local sounds good.
