I'm looking for an 8ft by 4ft door, or 4x8 if that's the way to say it. Are there any options out there for buying one? If not, does anyone have tips on how to build a door myself for a more affordable price?

Doors definitely have more complexity than you'd think! You could purchase an oversized door and then trim it to fit your needed dimensions. Just make sure to reinforce it properly. But if you’re not comfortable with woodwork, it might be worth looking into hiring someone for DIY advice instead.
