I'm relatively new to the houseplant hobby and I've managed to collect quite a few so far. However, I always shop at Lowe's, Home Depot, and Walmart, which tend to offer the same standard plants. I'm curious where everyone else goes to find more interesting and unique varieties of houseplants. Any suggestions?

Check out your local nurseries, garden centers, and farmer's markets! They usually have a wider variety that you won’t find in big box stores. Plus, it's a nice way to spend the day exploring and seeing what's out there. I think it's way more fun than online shopping!
Most of the interesting plants I own came from cuttings or offshoots given by friends or community garden groups. They not only add uniqueness to my collection but also come with a personal story, making them feel even more special.
For online options, I recommend heyrooted.com for houseplants; they have a great selection and their packaging is top-notch. If you're into air plants, check out airplanthub.com, and for succulents, give doseofsucculents.com a shot. Oh, and previously people mentioned Etsy too—lots of cool finds there!
