Where Can I Find Wood Strips for a Landing Net Hoop?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to find 1/8" thick wood strips that are about 36" long for bending into a hoop for a landing net. I've checked out some options on Etsy, but they all seem to have issues with sizing. Any suggestions for where I can source these strips? Thanks in advance!

It might help to know your location. If you're in the West U.S., there should be plenty of local shops where you can find what you need. You might not have a table saw, but maybe someone nearby can help out with that. A jig for your circular saw could work if you're up for a little DIY project!

I’m in the West, so I’ll look around. I have a jig for my circular saw, so that might work!

Finding the right wood strips can definitely be tricky! Shipping costs for longer pieces can add up, and they may take a while to arrive. I'd recommend checking out local wood shops. They often have offcuts that might fit your needs. If you have access to a larger sawmill, you could ask if they have any green strips available, but be aware they might not be willing to do that. Rockler and Woodcraft usually have a decent selection of thin wood if you want to go that route, but local sources might save you some hassle.

Thanks for the tips! I’m leaning towards just making a jig and cutting my own strips!
