Hey everyone! I'm a condo resident who recently bought a 10amp miter saw for a DIY project, but it ended up tripping my circuit. I'm guessing my apartment outlets aren't equipped to handle that much power. Does anyone know if there's a place where I can rent a miter saw for a short time, like an hour, to make some simple cuts? I don't want to spend a fortune renting a large workshop for a whole day since it's just a small project, and I've already got my panels marked to make it quick!

If you haven't checked your electrical panel yet, it might be worth a look! Most condos built in the last few decades should have a few 20 amp circuits. Remember, different rooms can have different breaker capacities, so maybe try using the miter saw in a room with a better circuit—like the kitchen. I've used tools from Home Depot and just run an extension cord from the kitchen to wherever I was working. Just a thought!
It really depends on where you live, but I'd suggest looking up 'maker spaces near me'—many larger towns have them, and they often allow you to rent tools and use their space. It's a cost-effective way to get your project done! Also, having a cordless miter saw could be a good solution if you want to avoid electrical issues altogether. Good luck with your project!
