Where to Find a Boost Converter for DIY 5V Battery Charging?

Hey everyone! I'm diving into a DIY project and need some help. I'm trying to convert a low voltage to 5V to charge a rechargeable battery. I'm specifically looking for a boost converter, similar to the MT3608 module, but I haven't had any luck finding it in local stores.

Could anyone point me to where I can buy one online or suggest alternative modules that would fit my project? I'm based in Overland Park, Kansas, so if anyone nearby has a spare one I could buy, that would be awesome!

Thanks so much for your help!

You might want to specify the current requirements for better suggestions, but generally, you can find boost converters pretty easily on Amazon, AliExpress, or eBay. Just search for "boost module 5V" or something similar. Here's a link to one option on Amazon: [link]. If you're using low voltage, it’s worth considering the context, like if you're charging from a solar panel or something, as that can affect your choices—look for a solar charge module in that case!

I'm looking to harness energy from plants as well! Thanks for your input! I might have to try making a DIY converter since time is running short for me and local stores aren't helpful. Any tips on how to go about that?
