I've been searching high and low for a decent No. 5 plane, hitting up car boot sales all over the country, but no luck so far. I'm not keen on buying new or shopping online. Does anyone have tips on where I might find one in Ireland?

What part of Ireland are you in? I'm in Cork and I've had some luck with local sites like Adverts and Done Deal. There’s even a listing in Waterford that looks promising – the seller's great and knows how to set up tools well!
Have you thought about checking out some vintage tool auction groups on Facebook? They have auctions every weekend and even a wishlist Wednesday where you can ask for specific items. Sellers are usually watching for requests, and you might get lucky!
