Where to Find Affordable Solar Panels in Seattle?

Asked By CuriousExplorer92 On

I'm on the hunt for budget-friendly solar panels in Washington State, specifically around the Seattle area. I've noticed that companies like SanTan and A1 Solar mostly have their warehouses down south, so it's tough to find local options. While I know the climate here is a bit rainy, people are still installing solar panels, but it seems like everyone goes through installation services instead of doing DIY projects. Can anyone recommend a local supplier in Seattle for around 400-watt solar panels?

Check out this listing on Craigslist! I found a guy selling 440W solar panels in Tacoma, which is not too far from Seattle. You might want to give it a look! Here’s the link: https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/for/d/tacoma-msolar-solar-panel-440w-ul/7852242596.html

My wife and I built our own solar setup and I have to say, it might not give the best financial return if you're mainly focused on payback. The Pacific Northwest isn't the best for solar energy. But if you're looking to help the environment or just want to impress your neighbors, then it could be worth it! I’d definitely do it again.

I usually go for Facebook Marketplace when searching for panels, whether new or used. People often buy bulk pallets and then sell the extras at a great price, which really helps save on shipping costs too.

Have you thought about getting Aptos panels from Signature Solar? I managed to get 20 460-watt panels for just $175 plus $150 for shipping. You can choose between monocrystalline or bifacial options!
