I'm planning to build a new bench for sitting and I'm looking for some inspiration. I want to find plans that aren't just the standard slotted 2x4 design. I've been searching online, but are there any other reliable sources or websites you could recommend for this project and others?

You should definitely try sites like Kreg Jigs, Wood Magazine, Rockler, or Woodcraft. They have a variety of plans that can really give you some options. I also recommend checking out Kreg’s project plans for some neat ideas; just keep an eye out, as some use pocket screws in interesting ways while others might not be as effective.
