I'm looking for recommendations on a good 1/2" impact wrench to buy. I'll mostly be using it for light to moderate tasks around the house like car work and some water heater jobs. I'd love to hear any suggestions you all might have!

If you're asking me, I would recommend starting with the mid-torque DCF891. It strikes a nice balance between power and size, perfect for tire changes and suspension work. After that, you might want to consider the compact DCF923; I find I use my 3/8" impact even more than 1/2" actually! For heavier jobs, the high torque DCF900 is great, but keep in mind, the 891 has torque levels that can tackle a lot of what you'd previously need a more powerful tool for. And if you're feeling adventurous, there's the DCF964, which is a beast! But honestly, if you find yourself needing that amount of power, you might want to rethink the project you're tackling.

Totally agree! The 891 seems perfect for general use around the house without being overkill.
