Hey everyone! I'm considering getting a 21-piece drill bit set for general home use and I'm stuck between Milwaukee and DEWALT. I'll mainly be drilling into wood, but I'll also need to tackle some PVC and thin metal occasionally. The Milwaukee set is priced at $30 while the DEWALT one is $20. Both sets have the same number and sizes of bits. Is the extra $10 for the Milwaukee set justified? Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Honestly, neither of those are great. You're probably better off going with Makita. I’ve heard they perform well and are more reliable.
I don't have the Milwaukee set specifically, but I bought the DEWALT set and was pretty disappointed. The bits kept getting loose in the case, so every time I opened it, they were scattered everywhere. I ended up tossing it and switching to a Milwaukee impact set, which has been much better!
I prefer DEWALT bits over Milwaukee for some reason I can’t quite pin down. I recently got a Makita set and noticed the bits are slightly longer, which I really appreciate. It’s tough to go wrong with any of these brands since they're often produced in similar factories!
I've had better luck with Makita bits overall! They tend to last longer and they're great for use with impact drivers since they make bit changes super quick. If you’re looking for reliable info, check out the Project Farm YouTube channel. They have some good videos comparing drill bits. Overall, I think DEWALT tends to make better bits than Milwaukee.
