Which Circular Saw Should I Choose: DeWalt or Bosch?

Hey everyone! I'm new to DIY projects and I'm trying to figure out which circular saw to invest in for home projects like building a media wall. I'm looking at two options: the Bosch Professional Hand Held Circular Saw GKS 190 (240V with a 190 mm blade) and the DEWALT Compact Circular Saw (240V with a 184 mm blade). Both saws are around the same price of £100. What do you think would be a better investment for my needs?

Honestly, both options are great for DIY, and you'll get years of service from either. I personally prefer Bosch, especially since the sizes are quite common. Just pick one that feels good in your hands!

Yep! And remember, if you ever decide to go for cordless, choosing a brand like DeWalt can help keep everything streamlined with battery choices.

Right? You can’t really go wrong here, but trust your gut on what feels comfortable. That can make all the difference!

If you're leaning toward cordless in the future, DeWalt has a great reputation. But since you're considering a corded saw, Bosch can be a solid choice too. Just ensure that the blade size is easy to find where you are, that'll save you some hassle in the long run!

Good point about the blades! Make sure you check if the sizes are standard in your area. It's easy to overlook that.

Totally agree! The ease of getting replacement blades can make a big difference when choosing which saw to go for.

When you're choosing a saw for DIY, it's smart to think about the battery compatibility if you're considering cordless options later on. If you're going corded, focus on the best price and brand reputation. Both Bosch and DeWalt make solid tools for the price.

Exactly! I've noticed that sticking with one battery system makes a big difference down the line. I went with DeWalt and love how many tools I can get that use the same batteries.

True, but since you're looking at corded versions, battery compatibility isn't really an issue here. It's all about the performance for your specific needs.
