Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide between the Bosch and Festool dust extractors. Are either of these a good choice for general shop clean-up? I'm concerned about their narrow hoses — I think the Bosch has a 33mm hose and the Festool has a 27mm hose. I've been using a Ridgid Shop Vac with a HEPA filter for my bandsaw and it does a good job, but I noticed that just turning it on raises the particle count. I'm looking for a true HEPA unit to use for the bandsaw, occasional sanding, and general clean-up. I've been eyeing the Festool CT 25 which seems solid for shop clean-up, but I'm curious if anyone has experience using these CT units as dust extractors.

I went for the Festool because I mostly use their tools. For floor cleanup, I recommend getting the 36mm hose – it really makes a difference!
I own the Festool CT 36, and it’s honestly the best tool I’ve bought. I just cleaned up a massive drywall project without even changing the bag. Super efficient!
I think the Bosch is solid too, especially if you find a good discount! Just keep in mind it lacks the remote start feature that the Festool has, which is a neat touch.
