I'm looking to buy a random orbit sander, and I want one that can easily connect to my dust extractor hose. I need something simple to swap between my Domino and this sander. I have a nice jointer and planer already, so I'm not aiming to remove a lot of material—just trying to achieve a smooth finish. While I'm open to an M12 or M18 cordless sander, it has to be of high quality and compatible with Festool dust ports since I use Milwaukee batteries for other tools, but I'm not interested in any other cordless brands.

I recently got the ETS EC 125/3 EQ-Plus to pair with my CT26. I opted for the 5" since my shop is small and I’m not mass-producing items. So far, it’s been great! Plus, I already had a ton of 3M Cubitron pads in 5" sizes.
Sounds like a solid choice! I've heard those pads are really effective for achieving that nice finish you're after.
If you've got the cash, definitely go for the 6" ETS EC! It's a fantastic sander. Honestly, I don't see much point in cordless for a workshop setting—they're just not as balanced as a lightweight corded version because of the battery weight.
The Bosch GET75-6 is awesome and much cheaper! Just throwing that out there. But keep in mind, if you're after a finer finish, it might not be the way to go, since it’s more like a belt sander than a dedicated finish sander.
Yeah, I totally get that! The Rotex is also great, but not the best for extended use if you really want comfort.
I hear you! The only cordless I'd even consider is the Milwaukee if it’s stellar. Keeping that Festool cord connected to the extractor sure makes life easier.
