I'm looking for some advice on the best M12 Fuel brad nailer to pick up, as I'm not too familiar with nail sizes. I'm also considering an M18 option if it can switch between brads and nails. I just got a load of plywood cabinets that were held together with brads in the dado, rabbet, or groove, and I need to reassemble them. I've noticed they use 2" brads, though I'm not sure about the gauge. I'm planning to do some small woodworking projects afterward, so any guidance on what size, gauge, or model I should consider would be great!

It really depends on your woodworking projects! For light tasks, I'd recommend 18-gauge brads. They're great for tacking things together while glue sets, and they leave tiny holes—perfect when you want minimal damage. If you're doing heavier stuff, consider a 15 or 16-gauge; they're sturdier. I have the M18 model, but I've heard the M12 is compact and decent too, though I can't speak much on performance. Just stay away from the old 15-gauge; it had a lot of issues but the new ones should be much better.

What were the issues with the old 15-gauge? I recently got the angled version and I'm a bit worried now if I picked the older design.
