I'm looking to upgrade my solar setup because my current Solar Saga 60W panel barely charges my EB3A battery. Since I'm going to be boondocking in a small car (a 1991 CRX), I'm looking for a folding panel instead of rigid mounts or flexible options that I haven't had much luck with. I'm debating whether to get a 100W panel now and add another later in parallel, or just go for a single 200W panel right away. It's important that the panel supports a 24V load voltage since the EB3A has a unique charging design that requires it to supply full wattage. I need to keep the size compact—preferably not larger than my current panels. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I hear you on the Bluetti panels being a bit pricey! You could check out some other brands that offer good folding panels—some of them are more affordable and still give you decent wattage. Just make sure they match the voltage needs for your EB3A.
It’s a bit tricky! The EB3A specs say the solar input can handle up to 28V, which makes sense for your situation. So while 24V is ideal for your needs, just be careful with panels that have a higher voltage output, as they might not work effectively with the EB3A. If your current setup is only giving you about 33W, a higher wattage panel could definitely help. Just ensure it fits your car and needs!

Yeah, you could also look into getting a 100W panel first and see how it performs. If it’s not enough, you can always add a second one later. Just keep an eye on the sizing for your storage!
