Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out which tool to buy for my DIY projects. I'm a homeowner planning to cut some tile that's already in my floor to build a wall. I also want to dive into some basic tile work soon after, so I'm hoping to choose the right tool for these tasks. Should I invest in a traditional grinder or a 3" cutoff tool? Looking for your thoughts and experiences!

I personally love my 3" cutoff tool! It's super versatile and I've used it for a bunch of different projects. Definitely worth considering for your DIY needs. But, if tiles are your main focus right now, it seems like a solid choice!
The 3" cutoff tool is great for control and precision, especially if you need to make specific cuts. Pairing it with a cheaper corded grinder could give you the best of both worlds for future projects. Just remember the cutoff tool will be easier to handle for tiles!
If you’re looking for precision, go for the cutoff tool; it offers better control. The grinder is powerful but can be a bit harder to manage, especially if you're concerned about what’s underneath the tiles. If you're just demoing, the grinder will be faster though!
Good point! I’ll mainly care about keeping things clean since I’ll be working on the floor.

That makes sense! I'm leaning towards that but just want to make sure it's right for my tile work.
