Which is Better for You: M12 or M18 Jigsaw?

I'm in the market for a new jigsaw and I'm torn between the M12 and M18 models. I'm particularly interested in which one people think performs better overall. Also, I'm specifically looking for the Milwaukee Fuel versions. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I use the M18 Fuel model and it's a powerhouse! While I haven't tried the M12, I feel like with the M18, you get more control because of its sturdy build. Although, I'd say it also depends on what you're cutting; the M12 is lighter and better for detailed work, while the M18 is better for bulkier cuts.

True, but for thicker wood, I appreciate the power of the M18. I've owned both, and while the M18 did break on me, it handled the tough cuts without issue. The M12 is lighter and easier to maneuver, but power matters too.

I chose the M12 mainly because it's super easy to handle, even with one hand. I find it perfect for curves and detailed cuts, and it surprisingly handled coping baseboards pretty well. The M12 is more flexible for those tricky angles compared to the M18, which is definitely faster but bulkier.

I've got the M12 Fuel barrel grip jigsaw and it's fantastic! After just a few minutes of using it, I was sold on the barrel grip design. The lower center of gravity makes it feel stable, and being closer to the blade definitely helps with aiming. I also love the switch instead of a trigger, it just feels nicer to use!
