I'm thinking about getting a compact tool and am stuck between the DeWalt DCF901 and DCF921 models. The DCF901 is currently priced at $125, which comes with a charger and both a 3Ah and a 5Ah battery. On the other hand, the DCF921 is on sale for $169, and includes a 5Ah battery along with a soft carrying case. For those who've used either model, which one do you think is the better value?

The DCF901 is a 12V tool that features a single-speed operation with a variable trigger, which means it has less torque compared to the DCF921. While it's a solid tool and matches its 20V counterpart, the DCF911, in torque, its value really shines if you already own other 12V tools. The 921, priced at $169 with the 5Ah battery, is definitely the more powerful option overall. If you're not in need of heavy torque and you're considering expanding into DeWalt's great 12V line, then the 901 might be the way to go. Otherwise, grab the 921 for its extra capabilities!
