Which Jigsaw Grip is Better: Barrel Grip or D-Handle?

I'm considering buying a jigsaw and I'm torn between choosing one with a top handle (D-handle) or a barrel grip. I haven't used a barrel grip before and I'm curious about the differences aside from just the grip style. They seem to be priced similarly, so which one would you recommend and why?

I've used both types and I can tell you that the barrel grip feels more stable because of its lower center of gravity. Plus, I find it easier to aim with. But I do wish the M18 barrel grip was scaled down a bit—it feels bulky. If you're looking for a recommendation, go for the M12 barrel grip. It's more manageable and has plenty of power, plus it’s cheaper than the M18!

I really think the barrel grip is the way to go! It’s generally easier to maneuver, and you'll have better control since your hand is closer to the blade. However, some people tend to stick with what they're familiar with, which is often the D-handle, since that's a classic style. It really boils down to what you're comfortable with.
