I'm currently remodeling my kitchen and I ordered a KRAUS stainless steel sink, but now I'm having second thoughts. A friend told me they regretted their stainless steel sink because it tends to hold onto food gunk. This has me worried since I just finished measuring for my granite countertop. I've heard that granite composite is durable and easy to clean, but I've also seen reviews saying they can arrive cracked and feel plastic-like. I've been considering a black granite composite, as the white ones can stain easily. What do you all think is the best kitchen sink material? I need to decide soon to avoid delaying my countertop installation, but I don't want to rush this decision either.

I’ve always enjoyed my stainless steel sink. A quick wipe usually does the trick for cleaning. It’s straightforward and gets the job done!
In my opinion, you can't go wrong with stainless steel, enameled cast iron, or soapstone. Those are your solid options that I would recommend!
I’ve had a stainless steel sink for a while now, and I haven't had any issues. I make sure not to let food sit in it too long, and I use a sink grid to keep things from sitting directly on the surface, which makes rinsing easier. A little Bar Keepers Friend does wonders for cleaning it up too! I can’t really speak to other materials though.
I’ve had Silgranit for over 16 years, and it’s held up so much better than other materials I’ve seen. If it were stainless steel, I’d probably have dents and scratches by now. Plus, the matte black finish is just really cool looking.
