I'm looking to buy a new circular saw for my DIY projects, mainly to cut 2x4s and plywood. I've noticed several options, like the M12 fuel and M18 versions (both fuel and non-fuel), and I'm trying to decide if I should invest in the M18 fuel model. I currently own a Dewalt 20V circular saw, but it's been struggling with performance and battery life. How much of a difference is there between the M18 fuel and the non-fuel models? Also, is the 6.5" size preferable over 7 1/4"? Thanks for your insights!

I absolutely love my M12 circular saw! It's super light and compact, making it really easy to maneuver. I've had no issues cutting through 2x4s and plywood—it handles everything seamlessly. I even used it for some larger projects like building a bookcase with 2x10s and it didn't bog down at all. If you're mostly doing light DIY tasks, this saw is a solid choice. I have the stock Milwaukee blade, and it does the job well!

That's great to know! But I've seen an M12 model struggle a bit unless you take it slow. I’m leaning more towards the M18 Fuel because it powers through anything you throw at it, especially for heavy-duty tasks.
