I'm trying to decide which Mora knife to buy for general whittling. I already own a Mora Companion, but I find it a bit too bulky for more precise tasks. I want a knife that can handle both detailed work and larger projects, so I'd prefer to carry just one knife for carving. I'm leaning toward the Mora 120 because it's the smallest, but I'm concerned it might be too limited. The woodcarving basic is half the price of the others, but is the plastic handle really less comfortable? Also, does the stainless steel make a significant difference? And what about the ergonomics of the handle on the 105? I've noticed that the 105 models have a laminated carbon blade, while the 120 and 106 have standard carbon blades. Any recommendations?

I love Mora knives and I've got quite a few! I’d say the 120 is a great choice for you. It strikes a nice balance between being compact and versatile, perfect for whittling and more precise tasks.
If I had to stick with just one knife, I'd go for the 122—it’s fantastic! But honestly, the 120 is also solid. I have a Mora Robust too, which is super handy for various tasks. Don’t stress too much about finding the 'perfect' knife. Your style will adapt as you get used to your tools. Many folks carve well with a simple utility knife!

That’s interesting! The 122 is a bit pricier where I am—$50—while the others are around $25, except for the basic woodcarving which is only $12.50.
