I'm curious to hear about the plants that you unexpectedly struggle with or find surprisingly easy to care for! For me, I've had great success with my calatheas, even though they're known to attract pests. However, succulents and ferns seem to have it out for me. I tried moving a succulent outdoors for more sunlight, but it just got worse, and I think I wasn't watering it enough. As for my ferns, I love giving them water, but no matter how carefully I do it, they still look unhappy. What about you? Any 'easy' plants that are tough for you, or vice versa?

I've completely given up on snake plants! I know they're supposed to be easy, but I've had nothing but bad luck. On the flip side, my aloe and pothos are practically thriving—I could start a small farm with how much they grow!
Interestingly, I have a ctenanthe setosa, and it does surprisingly well for me! It's just as finicky as calatheas, but despite my neglect, it's been giving me leaves consistently. However, Boston ferns make me want to scream; they just won’t grow right indoors! They love it outside but seem to rot whenever I try keeping them in. Anyone else have struggles with them?
I’ve had really bad luck with nerve plants; they just refuse to grow for me! But prayer plants and succulents—those are my jam. I keep them under extra light, and they flourish! It’s just those nerve plants that’ve made me lose my patience and toss them out!
I'm just the opposite! My aloe struggles so much, even though my other plants thrive, including other succulents. It's never happy, whether I water it or not, and it seems to hate every pot I've given it. I've tried everything—different soil, light conditions, even fertilizer, but it’s still looking sad. Anyone have tips on saving it?
I’ve tried to keep syngoniums four times now, but they just won't thrive! They need more hydration than I can manage with my busy schedule. Meanwhile, my philodendrons and pothos are doing great—even my cacti! It's a bummer because I really love syngoniums. Seems like they need constant attention, which I can’t give!
