I'm trying to decide on my next power tool purchase. I'm considering a router table with a new Bosch combo router, a 10" Dewalt table saw, or a Dewalt planer. I already own a small handheld router, circular saw, miter saw, jigsaw, and some other basic tools. I'd love to hear what tools others find most useful.

Generally, the table saw is a solid investment because it allows for precise cuts and can be used for a variety of jointing and cutting tasks. I have all the tools you've mentioned, and while my planer is useful, I still prefer having my table saw for making accurate cuts, jigs, and more.
Before you make a purchase, think about what aspects of your current setup you feel are lacking. While many people focus on buying the next big tool, sometimes addressing organization or storage could actually be more beneficial. That said, if I had to choose from your list, I'd say the table saw could give you the most versatility, depending on your projects.
For me personally, the table saw has been a game changer. It opens up a lot of options for projects and will certainly help with the straight, square cuts you’re looking to make. If you’re not into fancy joinery and already have a handheld router, the table saw is likely the best choice for you!
