I'm in the process of replacing 10 windows and a sliding patio door, and I've received a quote from Renewal by Anderson for $37,500 for the Acclaim series. I'm aiming for windows that are high quality, affordable, and durable, especially considering Michigan's climate. I've been looking into the Andersen 100 and 400 series, as well as Pella and Marvin. My current windows are Jen-Weld double hung, and they're old with broken seals and rusting. What are your thoughts on these brands for replacing my windows?

I've got Marvin Elevates throughout my house, and I only install Marvin now. I had Renewal by Anderson pitch to me, but I was turned off by their sales tactics, plus Pella seems to be going down the same road.
Check out your local lumber yard and see which brands they sell the most of. Marvin is a solid choice, but some fiberglass windows can outperform vinyl ones. Honestly, Pella and Andersen seem more focused on marketing than actual quality lately.
We replaced 31 windows last year and got quotes from Renewal by Anderson and Pella, but they were outrageously high—Pella quoted over $120K, and I had to laugh! We ended up going with Harvey windows for less than half the price, and we're super happy with them after three years.
I installed Marvin Infinity windows a few years back, and they've held up incredibly well. They've survived strong winds and even hurricanes without any problems. Definitely recommend them!
I’m replacing mine with Marvin Integrity windows and I feel the same way! The fiberglass is really great.
